Ukrainian soldiers removed the Russian flag from the administrative building in the village of Sverdlivkovo, Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the "Nachtigall" battalion of the 14th regiment of UAV systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

One of the soldiers, Yuriy Yakovenko with the call sign Croat, commented on this fact: "100 years ago, more than 60% of the population in the Kursk province (region) communicated in Ukrainian. Who are we to allow anyone to oppress Ukrainian-speaking citizens of Russia?".

Recall that fighting continues in the Kursk region near Kurchatov, where the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is located. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have taken control of the settlements of Kozacha Loknya, Mirny, Kruglyk, and Bondarevka.
