The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that as a result of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's strike on the RF control point in the Kursk region, 20 officers were killed. He emphasized that among the dead are senior officers from North Korea and Russia.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the control point was located in an empty building and was used to coordinate the offensive actions of the Russian troops in the Kursk direction against Ukrainian defenders. As a result of the operation, the building sustained significant damage, leading to substantial losses among the enemy.

Earlier, the Russians struck a boarding school building in Sudja, Kursk region, under the rubble of which 95 people were trapped. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at the Time of the attack, there were local residents in the building who were preparing for evacuation. The Russian side attempted to blame Ukraine for its own strike, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided evidence of a Russian war crime through the publication of screenshots from the 'Virazh-tablet' system showing the trajectory of the Russian guided aviation bomb's flight over Sudja, Kursk region.

The United Nations has condemned this incident of bombing the boarding school by Russian aviation, which led to the deaths and injuries of civilians.
