Series of explosions in Kursk after announcement of missile strike threat
On the evening of August 10, the Russian city of Kursk witnessed a series of powerful explosions following an announcement of a missile strike threat. Alexey Smirnov, the acting governor of the Kursk region, confirmed these explosions, citing the downing of several aerial targets.
«Today a downed Ukrainian missile fell on a residential building in the city of Kursk. A fire broke out. All emergency services rushed to the scene», – Smirnov reported.
Local residents also report explosions in different parts of the city, which were so powerful that some buildings suffered plaster damage. These facts indicate a possible massive attack and significant destruction. Russian Telegram channels also report five injured.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that «15 people have been rescued» and «30 evacuated» from the building where the fire originated.
Later, Smirnov also reported that all operational services are working at the site of the missile debris fall on a multi-story building in Kursk. Among the injured are 13 people, 2 of whom are in serious condition. Several ambulance crews are working at the scene.
Recall that the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflicted another blow on important enemy targets on the territory of the Russian Federation, specifically damaging several traction substations in the Kursk region.
