A second tender for Farion Square announced in Lviv: project details.
According to inkorr.com: The Shevchenkivskyi district administration of Lviv has announced a repeated tender for the arrangement of a square in honor of linguist Iryna Farion. It is planned to be located on Tomasz Masaryk Street, and the project cost is estimated at 2.2 million hryvnias. This was reported by
"Glavcom"referring to the proposal on Prozorro.
According to the tender conditions, the auction will take place on September 1, and the completion of work is scheduled for the end of December 2025. The project involves laying sidewalks, installing benches, trash bins, sowing lawns, and planting bushes and trees. The total area of the square will be 233 square meters.
The second auction and the evening of memory
This is already the second auction for the creation of the square. The previous one took place in mid-August, with the winner being the company LLC "Innovative-Bud" with a proposal of 2.1 million UAH. However, the administration refused due to the absence of four road signs in their proposal.
On the anniversary of Iryna Farion's murder, on July 19, an evening of memory took place, where the concept of an artistic work planned to be installed at the site of her death was presented. This concept was developed for free by a team of former student architects under the supervision of Andriy Lesiuk.
