Lviv held a rally for the captured: how the city reminds of the missing defenders.
On Sunday, August 17, a reminder rally for the prisoners of war and missing Ukrainian defenders took place in Lviv. Residents of Lviv took to the streets to remind about the citizens who have not yet returned home from Russian captivity.

Today, August 17, activists gathered for another reminder rally in the center of Lviv. People came to Taras Shevchenko monument to once again remind about those who are still in Russian captivity.
Relatives, close friends, and family members of Ukrainian defenders who were captured or went missing during the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine took to the streets of Lviv with posters to remind about the warriors who are still not back on their native land.
'They saved us, and we are obligated to save them', said a participant of the rally in the center of Lviv.
Anastasia, originally from Mariupol, told Novini.LIVE that she is alive only thanks to the defenders who took the full brunt on themselves.
'They have been in captivity for over three years now. We are obligated to save them', emphasizes a participant of the rally.
On Sunday, August 17, a rally in support of prisoners and missing military personnel and civilians also took place in Odesa. Recently, the Ukrainian intelligence reported how many Ukrainians have been returned from Russian captivity during the full-scale war.
Reminder rallies for prisoners of war and missing Ukrainian defenders took place in Lviv and Odesa. Participants of the rallies reminded the public about the importance of support and efforts in the release of Ukrainian prisoners who are still held in various facilities in the occupied territories of Russia.
