A car of a Russian general exploded in Moscow: the head of the General Staff management was killed.
According to ТСН: A car explosion on Yasenevaya Street in Moscow resulted in the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, the head of the operational training department of the Armed Forces of Russia's General Staff. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
According to information, the explosive device was activated under the car's floor. As reported by the Telegram channel Baza, the car had traveled several meters before the explosion occurred.
Shrapnel damaged at least seven cars parked nearby.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation noted that one version of the incident is the 'organization of the crime by Ukrainian special services.'
Currently, there have been no comments from the Ukrainian side regarding the death of the Russian general.
Who is Sarvarov
Fanil Sarvarov was born on March 11, 1969, in the town of Gremyachinsk in the Perm region.
He graduated from the Kazan High Tank Command Red Banner School named after the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the TASSR in 1990, from the Military Academy of Armored Troops named after Marshal of the Soviet Union R.Ya. Malinovsky in 1999, and from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia in 2008.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, Sarvarov participated in the Ossetian-Ingush conflict and the war in Chechnya, and in 2015-2016 he took part in combat operations of the Russian troops in Syria. In addition, according to the publication 'Project', he also participated in the war against Ukraine.
This incident has caused a wide reaction in Russian media and among analysts, as the death of high-ranking military officials cannot go unnoticed. Versions of possible involvement of Ukrainian special services in this explosion add tension to the current military and political circumstances in the region.
