The Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed the main target of Russian drone attacks.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 700 enemy attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have been recorded. According to the announcement by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko, by 2025, up to 90% of these attacks were carried out using drones.
'The energy infrastructure of Ukraine is one of the strategic targets of the enemy. More than 700 attacks on energy facilities have been recorded during the full-scale invasion, and this year, up to 90% of strikes were carried out using UAVs', emphasized Klymenko.
The Minister of Internal Affairs stressed the need to protect energy infrastructure through the effective use of electronic warfare and mobile fire groups. He also noted the importance of operational access for rescuers from the State Emergency Service to the facilities to eliminate the consequences of the attacks.
Protecting energy infrastructure in Ukraine is becoming an increasingly relevant and important task in light of the rise in enemy attacks. The Minister of Internal Affairs expressed certain measures that would help protect energy facilities from potential strikes, including electronic warfare and operational access for rescuers to facilities to mitigate the consequences of the attacks.
