NATO assesses the chances of peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
NATO correspondent Adam Parsons revealed the internal sentiments of the alliance regarding the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian-Russian war.
According to him, there is an understanding of the necessity for a peace agreement, although it may be painful for Ukraine. This was reported by Sky News.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte confirmed the complexity of the negotiation process. Experts consider the complete return of occupied territories by Russia to be implausible. Options for partial settlement are being considered, including possible territorial concessions.
Currently, the Russian Federation controls about 110,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian land, including parts of four regions annexed in 2022 and the Crimean Peninsula, occupied back in 2014.
Parsons emphasized that the future agreement will be a complex compromise in the 'gray areas' of diplomatic negotiations.
Also, let us remind you: Zelensky spoke about the real losses of the Armed Forces, Russia's invitation to the World Summit, and whether there is an alternative to NATO.
