According to DW, NATO's approach to military support for Ukraine has changed. The organization no longer aims for full victory but seeks to focus on strengthening Ukraine's position in negotiations and deterring aggression from Russia. In light of the difficult situation on the front lines, NATO is increasing arms supplies. However, the alliance expresses concern about a possible freezing of the conflict due to a potential ceasefire.

Western diplomats are considering various options for peace negotiations, including the creation of a demilitarized zone under the control of European military forces. At the same Time, the primary goal is to find security guarantees for Ukraine that will not provoke Russia.

During the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, the new Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized the need to strengthen support for Ukraine and called for ensuring a 'position of strength' for Kyiv in future peace negotiations.
