Germany demands that Ukraine stop the outflow of youth: what will change.

According to ТСН: Germany and other European partners hope for positive changes in Ukraine's demographic and economic policy, which should help reduce the migration of youth to the West.

This was stated by Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a press conference after the "Coalition of the Willing" summit in Paris.

The necessity of retaining youth

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of preserving the workforce in Ukraine. Merz noted that this issue has already been discussed with Ukrainian leadership.

"Thus, this also means certain expectations from Ukraine… Ukraine must ensure that its young men can find decent work in their country, rather than going to Germany, Poland, or France,"

said the Chancellor of Germany. He also added that this topic has already been raised in the dialogue between Kyiv and Brussels.

"This is something we have already discussed together in Brussels,"

the politician concluded.

Moreover, at the same summit, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced the preparation of a "prosperity agreement," which could assist Ukraine in achieving these economic goals.

The significance of the stated declarations is indeed great, as retaining youth in Ukraine will help the country maintain its labor potential and ensure stable development. The prosperity agreement, if concluded, could be a significant step towards improving the economic situation in Ukraine and contribute to the creation of new jobs, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the demographic situation.
