In Poland, compensation for workers has been reviewed: which payments increased in April.
Starting from April 2025, compensation payments for harm caused to health as a result of workplace accidents and occupational diseases have increased in Poland.
The updated amount of compensation will be based on each percentage of permanent or long-term health damage and will amount to 1636 zlotys, compared to the previous 1431 zlotys. In addition, compensation amounts for complete disability or inability to lead an independent life will also increase.
According to new regulations, the family of a deceased worker will receive a larger compensation. Spouses or children will now receive 147,271 zlotys, instead of the previous 128,271 zlotys. Other individuals who are not members of the deceased's immediate family will also receive more - 73,635 zlotys instead of 64,399 zlotys.
Increasing the amounts of compensation is an important step in ensuring social protection for workers and their families in the event of workplace injuries and occupational diseases.
It is also worth considering that Poland has made significant changes in the labor market.
