Russia Strikes Civilian Vessel in Odesa: What Really Happened on December 23

According to ТСН: The Ministry of Defense of Russia has once again disseminated false information, claiming that their army struck Ukraine during a massive missile-drone attack at the end of December.

The statement from the Russian agency states that the Russian armed forces hit port and transport infrastructure allegedly used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, in reality, the aggressors struck a civilian vessel in Odesa.

Actions of the Russian Army

The Russian Ministry of Defense also assures that their troops launched missile strikes with the "Kinzhal" against military-industrial complex enterprises in Ukraine and energy facilities. While this may partially be true regarding energy, there is no information about strikes on the military-industrial complex. Instead, the occupiers attacked a large number of residential buildings. In the Odesa region, in particular, 122 private houses were damaged.

Main Consequences of the Attack

We remind you that the main goal of Russia's massive strike on Ukraine on December 23 was energy infrastructure. Damage to port, transport, industrial, and residential infrastructure has been recorded. Numerous damages affected both apartment buildings and private houses. As a result of the attack, at least 13 regions were affected, with casualties and injuries among civilians.

Such actions by the Russian army indicate a continuation of aggression towards Ukraine, leading to serious consequences for the civilian population. Damage to infrastructure again jeopardizes the energy stability of the country, as well as the lives of people caught in the attack zone.
