In Saudi Arabia, the construction of the largest building in the world - the Mukaab skyscraper in the shape of a cube - has begun. It will be located in Riyadh. This structure is currently in the stages of construction and placement in the northwest of the city. Earthworks have already been completed by 86%.
The skyscraper will have a cube shape with edge lengths of 400 meters. At a height of 400 meters, it will become the tallest building in the city, exceeding 300-meter buildings. The interior of the cube will include a large atrium with a spiral tower in the center, shops, cultural and tourist facilities over two million square meters.
The structure will be covered with a unique facade of triangular shapes overlapping each other in modern Najdi architectural style. The completion of the building construction is planned by 2030 as part of the "Vision 2030" program.
Developers also reported plans to create the New Murabba district, which will include over 100,000 houses, 980,000 square meters of shops, 1.4 million square meters of office spaces, as well as hotels, cultural centers, a university, an immersive theater and a "iconic" museum. All these structures will be located next to the Mukaab skyscraper.
