Hackers breached the TeleMessage messenger
In the first decade of May, it became known that malicious actors carried out an attack on the TeleMessage messenger, which was used by dozens of American officials, including representatives of the White House, diplomatic services, and customs. This information was reported by Reuters. Compromised data was found among the leaks from various government users of the messenger.
Details of the breach
According to Reuters, more than 60 government users of the TeleMessage messenger were found whose data had been compromised. Among these users were employees of emergency services, customs, diplomatic institutions, as well as representatives of the White House and the Secret Service. Reuters does not have the ability to verify all the information, but some reports have been confirmed as credible.
