Secret documents about Trump's ties to Russia
Documents were discovered in a secure area of the FBI's central office in special 'destruction bags' used for disposing of classified materials. A classified appendix to the last report by special prosecutor John Durham, who investigated the 'collusion with Russia', was also found there.
A declassification process for these materials is currently underway under the oversight of the CIA, FBI, National Intelligence, and the US Department of Justice. The documents have already been handed over to the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley.
Fox News reports that the materials contain data indicating that US intelligence was already aware of the FBI's intention to initiate the investigation into 'Trump's collusion with Russia' even before the start of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation in 2016, which, according to them, was supposed to benefit Hillary Clinton.
Sources claim that Patel and his team discovered a previously unknown secret information center in the FBI's central office, where hard drives and archival materials were stored that previous leaders deliberately concealed from the agency.
On July 29, Trump announced the start of a ten-day timeline for Russia to end the war against Ukraine. Later, the Kremlin reacted, stating that it had 'immunity' to sanctions.
Following the discovery of secret documents in the FBI's central office and their transfer to the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley, processes of declassification and further investigation of the ties between Donald Trump's election campaign and Russia have begun. The documents contain information indicating that the FBI had prior knowledge of the investigation's initiation even before it launched, which may be significant in light of subsequent events and investigations.Read also
