In Toretsk, all houses are destroyed, civilians and military have nowhere to hide - spokesperson
In Toretsk, located in the Donetsk region, Russian occupiers are seizing new areas since there are no houses or shelters left for local residents and military. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Joint Forces Operation "Luhansk" Anastasia Bobovnikova during a telethon.
Unfortunately, the enemy continues to attack our positions, and in Toretsk there is not a single intact house left. The city now resembles an uninhabited planet: there are no shelters for civilians or military, and this allows the enemy to seize new, but already destroyed territories - said Bobovnikova.
According to the spokesperson, Russian military camouflage themselves in civilian clothing to approach Ukrainian positions. This tactic is often used by the enemy during urban battles, particularly in the Chasiv Yar area.
The spokesperson also noted that Russian forces in Toretsk are suffering heavy losses, but the Russian command "promises them great rewards".
Situation in Toretsk:
- Fighting continues
- Russian forces partially control the eastern part of the city
- Ukrainian forces are holding back the enemy
- The occupiers use small group tactics
- Ukrainian military hold key positions
- Combat operations are unpredictable and change hourly
- The occupiers are trying to attack in the Chasiv Yar and New York areas
- The Russians are almost completely destroyed
Earlier, the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed horrific photos from the city of Toretsk, located in the Donetsk region.
It is also known that the Russians managed to break into Toretsk. Brutal battles continue in the city, fought for every house and even every entrance.
