Doctors in Vinnytsia jailed for corruption
In Vinnytsia, three doctors were detained on suspicion of extorting bribes for issuing disability of the II group. The court established that they had previously agreed and demanded money in advance. After receiving a batch of money, they were arrested.
The court found that the accused doctors coordinated their actions and demanded bribes for issuing disability of the II group. The amounts they requested ranged from 12 thousand hryvnias. The offenders were arrested after receiving 1 thousand dollars and 7 thousand hryvnias.
The court decided to arrest the doctors for 60 days, setting bail at 908745 hryvnias. The suspects, aged between 58 and 73 years, include a member of the military medical commission and an expert group.
Despite the possibility of release on bail, the doctors will remain behind bars for the next two months due to the court's decision.
