According to Novyny.live: To ensure a stable power supply, Ukraine is actively working to decentralize its national energy system. Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration Oleksii Kubrakov has emphasized the critical importance of achieving energy autonomy. As part of this initiative, journalists visited the Darnytsia Thermal Power Plant (TPP) on February 4th, a facility that has sustained severe damage from military strikes.

Since the start of the heating season, the Darnytsia TPP has been hit more than 20 times by Russian forces, highlighting a dire situation that demands urgent action to reinforce energy infrastructure. This effort takes on even greater urgency following a massive Russian attack on Ukraine on February 3rd, which further underscores the need for a resilient and autonomous energy grid. The ongoing conflict has made energy security a matter of national survival.

This is the only way forward. It is what we have been doing for the last two years. We simply need to scale up this work. Everyone, from community leaders to regional governors, must be aligned and work exclusively on these tasks.
