Ukraine prepares for provocations during Russian-Belarusian exercises.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is closely monitoring the developments in Belarus in connection with the announced joint exercises of Russia and Belarus, - confirmed the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko. He noted that there is a probability of provocations or actions by the adversary towards the Ukrainian border.
'We are actively monitoring what is happening on the territory of Belarus. Specifically, when we talk about the joint exercises between Russia and Belarus. It is important to understand how many Russian forces are planned to be involved, and where exactly they will take place,' explained Demchenko.
According to preliminary information, the exercises may be held within the territory of Belarus, rather than directly at the border with Ukraine. However, the reasons for this choice are still unknown. The spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service suggested that there may be justified fears in Belarus.
'For us, of course, the priority is to study the information we can obtain regarding the active phase of the joint exercises. Because it is during this Time that the risk to our country may increase,' noted the representative of the border service.
Readiness of Ukrainian border guards to respond
Currently, the active phase of the exercises has not been recorded by the State Border Guard Service, and there are no strike groups of the Russian military in Belarus that could pose a threat to Ukraine. Nevertheless, Ukrainian border guards remain ready for potential actions by the adversary.
Demchenko emphasized the need to continue increasing defense capabilities along the border with Belarus, as the country supports Russia in its aggressive policy against Ukraine. Ukrainian border guards continue to carefully monitor military activity at the border with Belarus and are preparing for potential threats and provocations.
