Ukraine plans to mobilize 200,000 recruits by 2024

Ukraine intends to mobilize another 200,000 recruits by the end of 2024, but the implementation of this plan is becoming very doubtful. According to The Times, various factors could affect this goal, such as the decrease in the number of men of conscription age and resistance to mobilization among the population.

According to NATO, Russia increases its military ranks by 30-40,000 soldiers monthly. At the same Time, Ukraine needs to mobilize 200,000 recruits within three months to meet the needs on the front.

"We are significantly falling behind in the plans, mobilizing only 20% of the required number," said an anonymous employee of the territorial recruitment center in Odessa.

He added that the Odessa region lags behind other regions. Additionally, the employee noted that the problem is exacerbated by corruption and inefficient management in the territorial center, where some employees receive bribes for issuing fake exemption documents from service.

It was also found that most recruits have serious illnesses that hinder their service, such as tuberculosis, hepatitis, or HIV.

Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, Roman Kostenko, set the mobilization age at 20 years, stating that this concerns not only citizens but also public servants.
