Ukraine's Fuel Supply Strategy
According to Novyny.live: On March 13, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal outlined Ukraine's plan to secure fuel for the military, farmers, businesses, and the retail market by importing from more than ten countries. He confirmed that the armed forces will receive 100% of their fuel needs. To successfully carry out the spring planting season, the country requires 300,000 tons of diesel.
During March, Ukraine imported nearly 250,000 tons of gasoline, diesel, and liquefied gas. Currently, approximately 100,000 tons of fuel are held in reserve. The minister emphasized that the resource situation remains under control, which should ensure supply stability. The primary nations supplying fuel include:
- Poland
- Lithuania
- Romania
- Greece
Priority allocation targets the military, agricultural sector, businesses, and the retail market, reflecting a strategic approach to resource distribution across the country.
