Ukraine and Poland will develop intermodal routes to Asia.
The company "Ukrzaliznytsia" and the Polish state railways have agreed to develop routes to Asia, which involve intermodal cargo transportation. This was reported by the company's press service.
In the message from "Ukrzaliznytsia," it is noted that the company is actively working on the restoration and efficiency of the Eurasian intermodal connection at the Polish-Ukrainian border crossings.
The company also noted that Ukraine remains a promising country for the construction of connections between Asia and the European Union. The new route passes through China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Ukraine to Poland via Polish-Ukrainian railway border crossings.
"Ukrzaliznytsia" emphasized that the main task is the restoration and development of the Eurasian intermodal connection and the efficiency of cargo transportation at the border crossings between Poland and Ukraine.
