Ukraine's Military Advisory Role in the Middle East

According to UATV: Ukraine is now providing expert military assistance to the United States in the Middle East while simultaneously strengthening defense partnerships with several nations in the region. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Washington formally requested Kyiv's expertise. As of today, 228 Ukrainian specialists are already stationed across Middle Eastern countries, underscoring Ukraine's active role in bolstering security within this strategically vital area.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the situation in the Middle East is of critical importance. He also stressed Ukraine's willingness to share its defense technologies and battlefield experience, particularly in the development of advanced drones capable of countering maritime threats effectively.

Expanding Defense Cooperation

In addition, Ukraine is actively broadening its defense collaboration with multiple countries, including:

• Qatar
• United Arab Emirates
• Saudi Arabia

• Jordan

These efforts are complemented by a new general export license from Germany, which simplifies the export of air defense and naval equipment to Ukraine and Gulf states. As noted by Ukrainian defense official Andriy Sybiha,

“countries around the world are closely watching developments in Ukraine and the Middle East.”

Furthermore, the European Union plans to enhance its defense readiness by 2030, drawing on lessons learned from Ukraine. 'The contracts being signed will be not only responsive but also predictable,' Zelenskyy stated, highlighting the need for a strategic approach in defense. According to Yehor Cherniev, 'this is real assistance that can save many lives in the Middle East.'
