According to UATV: On July 18, 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that his forces had successfully struck Russian military assets, marking the 1,606th day since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He specifically highlighted attacks on targets linked to the Russian army's logistics near Moscow and in the Tambov region. These operations demonstrate Ukraine’s growing ability to hit deep behind enemy lines.
Zelensky further noted that Ukraine’s 17th Corps is inflicting up to 7,000 Russian casualties each month. He added that he had held detailed discussions with corps commanders, focusing on frontline sectors where fighting remains exceptionally intense.
Diplomatic Efforts
In his remarks, Zelensky also stated that
“Russia has long had the opportunity to turn to diplomacy and end its aggression.”He emphasized that Ukraine is actively working with its partners to fulfill agreements on the delivery of missiles and other specialized weapons.
“Decisions regarding the army will be formulated,”the president concluded, pointing to further steps to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
