Ukraine's Defense Requests to France

According to UATV: Following a discussion with his French counterpart, Catherine Vautrin, Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov, stated that Ukraine is anticipating the delivery of additional Mirage fighter jets and various types of missiles from France. This expected military aid includes munitions intended for air defense systems. This request underscores the ongoing need for advanced weaponry as the conflict continues.

Ukraine initially received its first Mirage aircraft in February 2022 and currently operates three of these jets. In a significant commitment, French President Emmanuel Macron has pledged to supply Ukraine with more fighter jets by 2025.

Deepening Defense Cooperation

France has already bolstered Ukraine's capabilities by providing several drones with a flight range of up to 500 km. The provision of additional aircraft and missiles would represent a substantial enhancement to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is critical for the nation's security. This defense partnership highlights the vital role of sustained international support for Ukraine in confronting current military challenges.

Given France's commitments to supplying military equipment, this cooperation is poised to be a crucial step in strengthening Ukraine's defensive capacity in the coming years.
