Naftogaz agreed on gas supplies from the USA until 2050: details of the agreement.
Cooperation with Greece in LNG Supply
According to inkorr.com: As part of the Ministerial meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC), the Ukrainian company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' signed an agreement with the Greek company ATLANTIC-SEE LNG TRADE S.A. The project involves regular supplies of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine through Greek gas terminals and the Vertical Corridor.
The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrinchuk, noted that the signed memorandum covers a horizon until 2050. The partnership envisages a phased implementation of several strategic projects, including ensuring stable long-term supplies of LNG to Ukraine and integrating the Ukrainian gas infrastructure into the logistics routes for LNG supplies to Europe.
Therefore, the agreement between 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' and the Greek company will be an important step for diversifying gas sources and ensuring the stability of its supply until 2050. This development will help Ukraine reduce dependence on traditional energy resources and enhance energy security while also contributing to integration into the European energy market.
