Ukraine Offers European Allies Drone Defense Training

According to Novyny.live: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has put forward a proposal for European partners to participate in counter-drone training, alongside a specialized mechanism called the 'drone shield' designed to protect airspace. He pointed out that the Kremlin is deploying unmanned aerial vehicles to destabilize relations within the European Union. Emphasizing the need for a united front against this threat, Zelenskyy noted that 'when a Ukrainian drone appears, we understand they can alter the course of our drones.' This initiative comes as drone warfare becomes an increasingly central aspect of modern conflict.

Zelenskyy further stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will respond symmetrically to Russian strikes.

'Above all, Ukraine will continue to respond to any attacks by the Russian Federation and apply its just long-range sanctions,' he declared.
In this context, it is worth noting that a new air defense system named LITAVR is capable of intercepting aerial objects traveling at speeds up to 350 km/h, significantly enhancing airspace protection capabilities.

International Security Collaboration

Separately, Heorhiy Tykhyi issued an apology to Greece regarding the Magura V5 drone, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in this domain. President Zelenskyy recently met with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, signaling an intensification of dialogue between Ukraine and European nations on security matters.

Ukraine's initiatives aimed at countering drones reflect growing concern over threats arising from Russia's military actions. Collaboration with European states in this area could substantially bolster the defensive capacity not only of Ukraine but of the entire region. This also highlights the critical need for technological advancement and adaptation to emerging challenges in contemporary military conflicts.
