U.S. and Ukrainian Delegations to Meet
According to UATV: On March 20, delegations from Ukraine and the United States will hold a meeting to address critical topics related to peace negotiations with Russia, U.S. sanctions policy, and American arms sales to Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that
“we will work on bilateral documents concerning the future end of the war”- Volodymyr Zelensky. He stressed the importance of maintaining dialogue with the American side in a “close format.”
Discussions on the PURL Program
The meeting is also expected to cover the PURL program, under which Ukraine will acquire missiles for the Patriot system. Zelensky highlighted progress made during a trilateral session focused on military matters.
“We made progress in the trilateral meeting, specifically on the military format”- Volodymyr Zelensky.
Notably, 228 Ukrainian air defense experts are currently stationed in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Ukraine is also actively pursuing cooperation with Kuwait and Jordan, signaling an expansion of its international military ties. This meeting could mark a significant step in strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the United States amid the ongoing conflict.
The upcoming talks between Ukrainian and U.S. delegations highlight both nations’ commitment to intensifying dialogue on security and military collaboration.
