Ukraine is ready to open negotiations with the EU: Zelensky named three key clusters.
Ukraine's Progress on the Path to the EU
According to inkorr.com: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the European Commission's report indicates significant progress of our country on the way to joining the European Union. He noted that Ukraine is ready to activate three clusters of negotiations, particularly in the areas of the rule of law, economic freedoms, and green policy.
'Ukraine is confidently moving towards EU membership and is ready to open clusters 1, 2, and 6. This is the best assessment result to date - proof that even while defending against Russia's full-scale aggression, Ukraine continues reforms,' Zelensky emphasized.
The head of state also addressed the European Union with a request for decisive actions to eliminate artificial barriers that hinder Ukraine's approach to the EU. He assured that Ukraine will continue to work on strengthening common European values and ensuring security on the continent.
The European Commission's report emphasizes Ukraine's positive achievements in the field of European integration, and Zelensky once again called for active support for Ukraine's course towards the EU.
Ukraine's efforts towards integration into the European Union are becoming increasingly noticeable on the international stage. Cooperation and reforms in key areas highlighted in the report emphasize the country's commitment to European values. However, to achieve ultimate success, actions are needed not only from Ukraine but also support from the EU, which is necessary to overcome existing barriers.
