Michelangelo System to Be Tested in Ukraine

According to UATV: Ukraine is preparing to trial the Italian-made Michelangelo air defense dome, designed by Leonardo, which is engineered to intercept both missiles and drones. With an effective range of 10–15 km, this system has the potential to significantly strengthen the country's defensive posture against aerial threats.

At the core of the system is the MC5 module, which drives the dome's operational efficiency. Delivery and initial testing are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026, giving Ukraine time to integrate this cutting-edge technology into its air defense framework. Full-scale trials of the Michelangelo system are planned for 2027 within NATO member territories, highlighting the international security collaboration backing this initiative.
