Ukrainians reminded of meter checks: little time left, otherwise you will pay more.
In Kyiv, there will be a mass check of meters for correct billing of utilities. This was reported by the press service of KK 'Center for Municipal Services'.
Residents of the capital are required to check their meters to avoid incorrect billing for services. This month, the inspection period expires for 32,047 hot water meters and 7,599 heat energy meters.
In case of a faulty device, it is removed from the registry, and billing is done based on the building-wide meter or the standard rate. Information regarding the inspection period can be found on the official CKS website or in the consumer's personal account.
Consumers can also contact CKS via messengers, or call 044-247-40-40 to find out about their meter and its inspection period.
The inspection can also be ordered independently through a licensed company or on the official CKS website. The inspection of one meter may cost 300 hryvnias.
Obltelkommunenergo reminds that meter checks are the responsibility of consumers and are carried out every 4 years. This is done to ensure the correct operation of the meter and the billing for services.
It is important to choose a reliable company for the inspection to avoid fraud. It is necessary to check the certificates of commercial entities that provide meter inspection services.
Thus, meter checks are necessary to ensure correct billing for utilities. Consumers should contact CKS for information and to conduct the inspection of their meter.
