During the campaign to enhance road safety, police conducted a large-scale effort to remind drivers of the importance of wearing seat belts.

As reported by the Kyiv Patrol Police press service, police stopped many vehicles to explain to drivers and passengers how crucial it is to buckle up.

The main goal of the campaign was to prevent serious injuries in the event of road traffic accidents. Police emphasized that seat belts securely hold people in their seats, significantly reducing the risk of severe injuries during crashes. To reinforce the campaign's impact, drivers were given symbolic stickers reminding them to buckle up.

Drivers were also reminded of fines for violating seat belt usage rules. According to Article 121 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, such a violation is subject to a fine of 510 UAH. Police urged all road users to be responsible and to care for their safety by always buckling up before starting to drive.

It was previously reported about important changes to Ukraine's traffic rules regarding car repairs and washing in public places.
