Ukrainians have named the most energy-consuming devices in the house.

Energy efficiency is an important issue for many Ukrainian families. In search of ways to reduce communal expenses, they try to maintain the comfort of their lives. One of the key steps is understanding which household appliances consume the most electricity. This knowledge can be not only interesting, but also useful.

According to 'Ukrenergo', TVs and computers consume over a quarter of all electricity (28%).

Using a computer for 5 hours a day can consume 20 kWh or more of electricity per month. A television consumes approximately the same amount of electricity. However, powerful gaming PCs and large TVs can consume up to 80 kWh and 30 kWh per month respectively. Experts recommend using a laptop instead of a desktop computer and only turning on the TV for active viewing.

In third place in terms of energy consumption is the refrigerator, which consumes approximately 30 kilowatt-hours per month.

A washing machine that is used twice a week for an hour consumes between 17 and 25 kilowatt-hours per month. It's also interesting to note that giving up an electric kettle can reduce electricity consumption by 10-22 kilowatt-hours per month, while a microwave consumes half as much electricity compared to an electric kettle.

As we can see, the energy efficiency of household appliances plays an important role in reducing communal expenses, so it's worth paying attention to this.
