The State Border Guard Service refuted the mass departure of Ukrainians: statistics showed the opposite.

According to ТСН: The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has refuted information about the mass departure of Ukrainians abroad, emphasizing that in reality, the passenger flow has decreased.

Words of the SBGS spokesperson

Spokesman Andriy Demchenko noted during a telethon:

“I honestly do not know what the widespread data is based on, because if we talk about border crossing, on the contrary, passenger flow has significantly decreased recently, especially regarding the months of July-August.”

Demchenko also added that the overall passenger flow decreased in the autumn months, and today it is the lowest in the last three months.

Passenger flow indicators

On weekdays, about 70 thousand people cross the border in both directions. However, on weekends, the average passenger flow does not exceed 90 thousand. This is significantly less than a month ago, when the number of border crossings on weekends exceeded 90 thousand.

Debunking the myth of men leaving

Earlier, some Ukrainian media reported on a statement by the British publication The Telegraph about the mass departure of men aged 18 to 22. However, this information is not true. It concerns approximately 100 thousand individuals who allegedly left the country in the last two months.

The National Bank of Ukraine, citing data from the UN and Eurostat, reports that from October 3 to November 14, 2025, nearly the same number of people left Ukraine as in the previous nine months.

Thus, the State Border Guard Service denies rumors about the mass departure of Ukrainians, pointing to actual passenger flow data. These indicators indicate a decrease in the number of people crossing the border, which may reflect a change in public sentiment or another situation in the country. It is important to obtain information from verified sources to have an accurate picture of the situation.
