Ukraine’s Ongoing General Mobilization

According to Novyny.live: Ukraine remains under general mobilization, requiring all citizens to comply with military registration rules. When these rules are breached, individuals have the right to submit formal complaints against actions taken by Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs). Notably, fines for registration violations range from 17,000 to 25,500 hryvnias. Starting April 17, 2025, offenders will be allowed to pay just half of the imposed fine.

Responsibilities of TRCs and Citizens

Both TRCs and citizens must follow established procedures. If a TRC refuses to remove a person from the wanted list, that decision can be contested. According to Yuriy Ayvazyan,

“if the TRC replies with a refusal to take you off the wanted list, you can challenge that refusal. You can do this by filing a statement either with the regional TRC or in court.”

It is also important to note that there is no standard template for such complaints.

“These statements are drafted on a case-by-case basis,”
Ayvazyan added. This means citizens can defend their rights whenever they believe their interests have been harmed by a TRC.

During the general mobilization, following military registration rules is mandatory, and every citizen must understand their rights and duties. Being aware of these rights is essential for avoiding fines and other legal consequences. This knowledge also helps reduce friction between individuals and state authorities, highlighting the need for clearer communication from TRCs to prevent misunderstandings and legal disputes.
