Ukrainians Increased Spending on New Cars: Top 5 Most Popular Brands.
Ukrainian car enthusiasts have increased their spending on new cars, indicating a growing interest in this market. According to "Ukrautoprom," the total amount spent on purchasing new cars in August 2024 is 15 billion hryvnias. This is 45% more than the same period last year and 28% more than in July of the current year.
Five brands account for nearly half of this amount. Leading is the German manufacturer BMW with sales worth 2.15 billion hryvnias. Slightly behind is the Japanese Toyota with 2.14 billion hryvnias. In third place is another German brand, Mercedes-Benz, with sales worth 1.2 billion hryvnias.
Since the beginning of 2024, the total spending of Ukrainians on new cars amounts to 82.4 billion hryvnias, which is 23% more than the same period last year.
Additionally, popular Ukrainian buyers have shown interest in cars from Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Land Rover, Renault, Lexus, and Nissan.
It was previously reported that due to debts for utilities, Ukrainians might be prohibited from buying cars.
