The Ukrainian team continues to impress at the Paralympic Games, winning 8 medals on the fifth day of the competition. Ukrainian athletes added two gold, two silver, and four bronze medals to the team's treasury. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Swimming
- Denys Ostapchenko – in the 50 m backstroke (class S3)
- Andrii Trusov – in the 400 m freestyle (class S7)
- Illia Yaremenko – in the 50 m freestyle (class S13)
- Serhii Palamarchuk – in the 50 m backstroke (class S3)
- Oleksii Virchenko – in the 50 m freestyle (class S13)
Athletics
- Ihor Tsvietov – in the 100 m run (class T35)
- Oleksandr Lytvynenko – in the long jump (class T36)
- Zoia Ovsiiy – in the discus throw (class F53)
At the moment, the Ukrainian team has 35 medals (5 gold, 12 silver, 18 bronze) and ranks 10th in the overall medal standings.
Recall, yesterday Ukrainians won eight medals on the fourth day of the 2024 Paralympics.
