Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga noted that Ukraine should not pay Russia for the war it started. He emphasized that Ukrainians deserve a just peace based on international law and respect for the territorial integrity of the country as defined in the Constitution.

'For the fourth year, Ukraine is facing a full-scale war from Russia on land, at sea, and in the air. We owe our independence to the courage of our defenders and the resilience of our people. Russia should not be rewarded for starting this war'

Andrii Sybiga also stressed that Russia continues to terrorize the civilian population and shows no interest in ending the war, ignoring Ukraine and the USA's attempts to achieve peace. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that giving away one's land to the occupier is unacceptable. According to the publication Bild, the US special envoy Steve Witkoff misunderstood the demands that Russia presents for a ceasefire in Ukraine. The Kremlin aims to obtain the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions, offering only a partial ceasefire that does not cover a complete cessation of the war.

Ukraine's foreign minister and the president of the country reaffirm the position of refusing to exchange territories with Russia, reminding of the importance of adhering to international law and state integrity.
