Ukrainian drones hit Volgograd oil refinery and Astrakhan gas processing plant - source.
The report states that the Ukrainian special services and Special Operations Forces used drones to attack the Volgograd oil refinery and the Astrakhan gas processing plant. These facilities are important fuel producers for the Russian army.
As a result of the attack on the Volgograd plant, the flare system and primary processing units No. 2 and No. 3 were damaged, as well as technological units No. 20 and No. 21. At the Astrakhan gas processing plant, the gas condensate processing complex was damaged. The fire continues, the plant has halted operations, and workers have been evacuated.
This night, two Russian enterprises received their share of drone sanctions from the Security Service of Ukraine - the Volgograd oil refinery ('Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka') and the Astrakhan gas processing plant. This is already the fifth successful special operation targeting oil refineries and other Russian enterprises that supply fuel for the Russian army. The drone sanction policy continues to demonstrate its effectiveness.
Earlier, unknown drones attacked the Astrakhan gas processing plant, which is one of the largest gas chemical complexes in Russia and is actively involved in processing natural gas and gas condensate.
Additionally, drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a pumping station of the Druzhba pipeline near the Russian-Belarusian border. There is a suspicion that this facility may have been damaged by a Ukrainian drone.
