Ukrainian 'Cultural Landing' continues its mission in the USA: details.
The Ukrainian creative project 'Cultural Landing' has begun the second phase of its American tour, which this Time will cover the southern part of the United States. Its main goal is to introduce Americans to Ukrainian culture, as well as to express gratitude for the support of our country, reports Ukrinform.
'We are starting the second part of our tour in America with a concert at the Ukrainian House in Washington. In the first part, we covered the northern states, now our tour is planned mainly in the south of the USA,' said Mykolai Serha, founder and leader of the 'Cultural Landing' association.
He emphasized that the main message of the musical tour is to express gratitude to Americans, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora for supporting our country.
Serha noted that it is currently especially important to keep the focus on what the Ukrainian nation is fighting for, as America's information space is oversaturated with elections, and the issue of Ukraine often becomes a politicized object in the election campaign.
'Cultural Landing' is a creative unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which includes world-class artists who were professional musicians before the war and are now in military service. Most of them participated in the fiercest battles in Ukraine, and several received injuries and returned to service after recovery. The repertoire of the artists includes musical works from Ukrainian and world classics to covers of popular hits and folk melodies, including the use of the Ukrainian bandura.
The first tour of the 'Cultural Landing' in the USA took place this spring. Ukrainian artists successfully performed in various cities, in the US Congress, as well as at festivals in America, in particular, at Burning Man - 2024. The second tour of Ukrainian military personnel will take place over two months in the states of the Southeast, South, and West Coast of the USA.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, for her part, emphasized that the 'Cultural Landing' team gives viewers a part of what our nation fights for every day on the front, namely for self-identity and Ukrainian culture. She emphasized the importance of the tour in the southern states of the USA, which are part of the so-called 'Bible Belt', as people in these states share with Ukrainians faith and devotion to Christ.
'The more conversations around this, the less action. But for us, actions and real support are important, as a large number of people die daily in Ukraine - and this is our most important capital, which is the support for the future of Ukraine,' said Mykolai Serha.
He also emphasized that it is important to dispel any doubts about further assistance to Ukraine, so the participants of the 'Cultural Landing' share real stories from their own experience in the war.
