At the World Rescue Championship in the USA, Ukrainian firefighter Oleksandr Baran set a world record. This is reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
At the World Firefighter Challenge Championship 2024, the rescuer from the Ukrainian team, along with a colleague from Florida, impressed everyone by setting a world record!
Oleksandr Baran and Mackenzie Briggs ran the distance in 01:09.91 during the qualification in the men's tandem category 40-44 years.
This result demonstrates a high level of preparation, skill, and teamwork of our rescuers!
Earlier, almost 6,000 participants from 136 capital schools, together with rescuers, set the Ukrainian record in a safety lesson.
Also, at the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv, a record of Ukraine and Eastern Europe was set for the fastest book release. In 8 hours 39 minutes, students, teachers, and invited guests wrote, edited, typeset, designed, and released the book "The Day After the War".
