According to Novyny.live: Ukraine is preparing for an intense period of severe frosts this February, with nighttime temperatures forecast to drop as low as -25°C. According to meteorologists, temperatures on February 1st will range from -18°C to -23°C across the country, dipping to between -23°C and -25°C in northern and western regions. Daytime highs will only reach -12°C to -17°C.
In the capital, Kyiv, the night of February 1st will see temperatures fall to -20°C...-22°C, with a daytime high of around -15°C. The evening hours could bring even more intense cold, with the potential for readings to sink to -25°C. The peak of this extreme cold is expected to last from February 1st through the 3rd.

This frigid weather is driven by a high-pressure anticyclone settling over the country, which will also bring dry, precipitation-free conditions. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko has confirmed these severe forecasts, highlighting the significant weather event facing Ukrainians. Such extreme winter conditions are a serious test for national infrastructure, which has faced additional strain in recent years.
