The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is concluding an agreement with Ukrposhta regarding the delivery of documents, including foreign passports, to Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukrposhta signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of international postal shipments. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba was present at the signing of the Memorandum between State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Bankov and General Director of Ukrposhta Ihor Smilyansky.

The new passport delivery service is set to launch in September. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukrposhta will jointly identify the best delivery routes for postal shipments. Ukrainian citizens abroad will be able to access a convenient document delivery service, including foreign passports, at lower costs compared to international commercial companies.

Using an electronic stamp with a QR code, Ukrainians will be able to pay for the delivery of a foreign passport anywhere in the world through the Ukrposhta website. The cost of delivery will be only 6 US dollars and 10 hryvnias of VAT, which is significantly cheaper compared to commercial services. After the passport is produced in Ukraine, Ukrposhta will ensure quick delivery to the address of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the country where the passport was ordered for issuance to the applicant.

"We understand that for millions of our citizens abroad, fast and convenient communication with the state is important. Therefore, we continue to improve the quality of Ministry of Foreign Affairs services and facilitate access to consular services. Thanks to the agreements between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukrposhta, Ukrainians abroad will be able to quickly receive foreign passports issued in Ukraine at a lower cost and with a simplified procedure starting in September. This is yet another proof of the state’s care for its citizens," said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
