Ukrzaliznysia Stops Train Services in Donetsk Region: What Awaits Passengers.
Stopping Train Services in Donetsk Region
According to inkorr.com: The company 'Ukrzaliznysia' has announced a temporary halt to train services in the Donetsk region. In particular, trains heading to Kramatorsk will not stop at the stations Husiaryvka and Barvinkove, which are located in Kharkiv region. Instead, buses will organize transportation between Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and the new temporary station. Conductors are ready to assist passengers with orientation and transfers.
'Save the railway - it will still be needed. Internal reserves to compensate for losses from passenger transport have been exhausted: either we all start acting together, or we will lose the company,' emphasized member of the supervisory board of 'Ukrzaliznysia' Serhii Leshchenko.
'Ukrzaliznysia' stressed that this decision was made to ensure the safety of passengers. The lack of funding to cover losses has led to the consideration of raising tariffs on freight and other measures for financial stabilization. The company continues to monitor the situation and hopes to resume train services if the opportunity arises.
Such decisions to stop train services can significantly affect people's movement, especially under the conditions of limited transport in the region. It is important for the company 'Ukrzaliznysia' to continue monitoring the situation and promptly inform passengers about changes in the schedule and methods of transportation.
