U.S. Outlines Key Condition for Potential Zelensky-Putin Summit.
Abu Dhabi Talks: A Critical Diplomatic Step
According to TSN.ua: U.S. officials have indicated that the recent negotiations in Abu Dhabi were a crucial step toward a potential face-to-face meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The talks are seen as vital for advancing to the next stage of diplomacy. A summit between Putin and Zelensky could be convened, contingent on progress being made at a subsequent trilateral meeting.
Greater progress was achieved during the discussions on military-related issues. However, no resolution has been reached concerning territorial disputes. Serhiy Leshchenko, an advisor to the Head of the President's Office, stated that Ukraine and its international partners are approaching a pivotal moment in diplomatic efforts to end the war. This conflict, which began with Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, has created one of Europe's most severe security crises in decades.

The Abu Dhabi negotiations represent a significant phase in the peace process between Ukraine and Russia. Success in these talks could unlock new opportunities for compromise and stabilizing the regional situation. Nonetheless, despite progress on military matters, the unresolved territorial questions remain a major obstacle to further negotiations.
