According to ТСН: Railway communication between southern Ukraine and Moldova has been restored. 'Ukrzaliznytsia' launched the train on the Odesa—Chisinau route for the first time since the onset of the full-scale invasion.
The company announced this through its official Telegram channel.
Tickets are selling out instantly
Passengers have shown great interest in the restored route. 60% of tickets were sold within the first 3 hours after sales began.
Currently, the occupancy statistics for upcoming flights look as follows:
61% — for flights from Odesa;
93% — for flights from Kyiv (this direction traditionally remains the most popular).
Schedule
'Ukrzaliznytsia' announced that ticket sales from Odesa are already open on a daily basis. This will help alleviate bus routes and simplify border crossing for residents of the region.
It should be noted that during the night of December 19, the Russian army again shelled the Odesa region, notably the railway infrastructure. Certain changes in train movements occurred from December 19 to 22.
The resumption of communication between Odesa and Chisinau is an important step in improving transport links in the region. This will not only ease travel for passengers but will also promote business and trade between countries. The continuation of railway operations promises to strengthen economic ties and create new opportunities for travelers.
