New High-Speed Trains Set to Launch This Summer: Connecting Dnipro and Kyiv with Odesa.

Expanding High-Speed Rail Services

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian Railways is broadening its high-speed network by introducing new routes ahead of the summer season. Starting June 28, 2023, a new express train, service No. 753/754, will begin operations between Dnipro and Odesa. Departing Dnipro at 1:40 PM and arriving in Odesa at 9:20 PM, the journey will take 7 hours and 40 minutes, offering travelers a comfortable option. Ticket prices for this new service start at 1,446 UAH for first class and 501 UAH for second class.

Additionally, from June 27, 2023, a new high-speed train, No. 765/766, will link Kyiv and Odesa. Fares for this route will range from 1,270 UAH for first class to 437 UAH for second class. This addition aims to meet the rising demand for travel between two of Ukraine's key cities.

Optimizing Existing Routes

Furthermore, the high-speed train No. 763/764, already running between Kyiv and Odesa, will increase its frequency from three to six trips per week. Ticket prices on this route vary, starting at 868 UAH for first class and 482 UAH for second class. This adjustment is designed to streamline operations and make high-speed travel more accessible for passengers.

It is worth noting that from June 8, 2026, seasonal restrictions for heavy trucks will be implemented on roads in the Odesa region. This measure is a crucial step toward enhancing road safety and preserving local infrastructure. Overall, the new services and route optimizations are intended to improve passenger service quality and provide convenient travel conditions across Ukraine.
