Ukrzaliznytsia's '3000 km Across Ukraine' Initiative Offers Free Rail Travel.
Ukrzaliznytsia's '3000 km Across Ukraine' Program
According to TSN.ua: Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state railway operator, introduced the '3000 km Across Ukraine' program in late 2025 as part of a 'winter support' package for citizens. This initiative aims to boost domestic tourism and enhance mobility. Every adult Ukrainian with the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile application is eligible to receive bonus kilometers, which can be redeemed for train tickets. This program is a significant effort to encourage travel within the country during a challenging period.
The 3000 km travel allowance is valid for use until December 23, 2026. Children aged 5 and above also receive their own 3000 km allocation, making the program particularly advantageous for family trips. Tickets can only be booked for oneself and one's own child, streamlining the process for parents. The program includes 24 different train routes connecting cities across Ukraine.
