The Minister of Defense launches the 'Revolutionary' project 'Drone Line'
The Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov announced the start of the implementation of the 'Drone Line' project, which aims to strengthen the brigades of the Defense Forces.
'This is a new norm of war, where unmanned systems become a key component of combat operations, helping our soldiers to perform the most challenging tasks,' wrote the minister.
The first stage of the project involves the involvement of five elite regiments and brigades:
- 20th separate 'K-2' regiment;
- 429th 'Achilles' regiment;
- 427th 'RAROG' regiment;
- 414th 'Birds of Madyar' brigade;
- 'Phoenix' regiment (Brigade 'Revenge').
Umerov explained that the project involves combining infantry and unmanned aerial vehicles into a single strike force. This will allow:
- to create a zone of destruction for the enemy at a depth of 10-15 km;
- to provide constant air support and cover for the infantry;
- to detect and destroy targets before they approach our positions.
'This will fundamentally change the tactics of combat, giving our soldiers a decisive advantage,' concluded the minister.
Earlier, Zelensky showed the NATO Military Committee chairman the Ukrainian long-range weapons.
Also, soon there will be an opportunity in Ukraine to use laser technologies to shoot down Russian strike drones of the 'Shahed' type - this will be Ukrainian-made products.
