Gas tariffs for Ukrainians will remain unchanged until 2026: government decision.
Stable gas tariffs in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The heating season in Ukraine starts with unchanged natural gas tariffs for the population and budget institutions. Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenko announced that the gas price will remain at 7.42 UAH per cubic meter for the population and 16.39 UAH per cubic meter for budget institutions until 2026.
This decision will ensure stable heating tariffs throughout the season. Moreover, during martial law, there is a moratorium on increasing tariffs for heating, gas, and hot water supply, which contributes to social stability in the context of the conflict.
Thus, the government guarantees price stability for gas, which will help maintain social stability in Ukraine during the heating season.
Fixed gas tariffs are an important step in supporting the population amid economic challenges. This decision will allow Ukrainians to have clarity in planning their energy costs amid the difficult situation in the country.
